Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is the home to the Avatar Hallelujah Mountains. Every day, Avatar fans from the world are coming here to watch the real face of the most famous and prestigious "floating mountains" , making it one of the most popular scenic places in China to foreigners.
As the first national forest park of China, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is also a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and its most notable feature is the unique sandstone peak forest landforms.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park allows maximum 53,000 visits per day and entry ticket is required to visit it for individuals who are 14 years of age or older. In addition to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, same ticket can be used to visit Ten Mile Nature Gallery in Suoxiyu Nature Reserve, Tianzishan Mountain Nature Reserve and Yangjiajie Scenic Area in the much larger Wulingyuan Scenic Area. However, Baofeng Lake, Yellow Dragon Cave and Grand Canyon Glass Bridge in Wulingyuan Scenic Area have their independent entry tickets and visitors should buy tickets if they have interest to visit some or all three of them as well.

Standard entry ticket as such is a good option for trekkers who enjoy hiking in nature. It's also good for people who are planning to purchase a cable car pass in person if they decide they want to.
There are three cableway lines inside Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, naming Tianzi Mount cableway, Yangjiajie cableway and Huangshizhai cableway respectively. Visitors can purchase or not purchase such cable car tickets depending on their actual needs.

Even though Bailong Elevator ticket is optional, it's best to use this lift to go up mountains to visit the Avatar Mountain etc. in a short time of 66 seconds.

In theory, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park ticket is valid for 4 consecutive days. However, unlike before, this doesn't mean that you can use it for 4 direct days by default. From June 2025, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has required that each visit should be reserved in advance with purpose to efficiently manage tourism volume and direct tourist flow. it has no negative effect to tourists who want to use the ticket for one day; However, to returning visitors, this means that they may be rejected if they don't schedule their revisits before hand. In practice, it has risk to obtain a four-day ticket especially in high season from early May to late October. The park usually gives top priority to first time visit, as a returning visitor, you can't compete with new vistior if you are doing same reservation in high season when innumberous tourists are bidding the same slot with same entrance gate. To visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in high season, it is wise to choose unpopular time slots that are mainly after 12:00 pm and check in through less crowded middle gate, west gate and even north gate. If you want to visit the park for more than 2 direct days, it's advised to have your tickets reserved in the earliest time possible so that you can have more chance for a successful booking.

Entry tickets to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park are sold under the real name system. Tourists are required to submit their identity information to be able to purchase their tickets. That is, as an international tourist, you should use your passports to be able to reserve tickets online.
There are generally 3 steps to reserve entrance tickets to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park online.
Firstly, you should choose a gate through which to enter the Park. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has five entrance gates including the East Gate, the South Gate, the Central Gate, the West Gate and the North Gate. Since these gates are faraway from each other, choosing a gate that is close to your hotel can save both time and money on transit.
Address of your hotel, hostel, guesthouse is the main criteria to decide which gate to choose.
Secondly, choose the date and schedule the time slot to enter. That is, if you want to visit the park for two times, you should specify two dates and two time slots and so forth. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has set eight sessions a day that are 07:00-08:00, 08:00-09:00, 09:00-10:00, 10:00-11:00, 11:00-12:00 and 12:00-13:00, 13:00 to 14:00 as well as 14:00 to 17:00 for tourists to check into. In theory, tourists must have

Ticket is not refundable unless traveler can cancel it within the risk- free cancellation period. For a full refund of the ticket, traveler must cancel ticket for at least 7 days. To cancel ticket between 3-7 days in advance, the cancellation fee of 10% of the total amount is charged. To cancel ticket within 3 days in advance, 20% of the amount paid is charged. For those who have already used their tickets or those who haven't used their tickets even after the specified travel date, it's not possible to request refunds.
❗ Traveler should pay full price and purchase a new ticket if the former one is lost or invalidated. ❗ Zhangjiajie National Forest Park entrance ticket covers Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area, Yellowstone Village Scenic Area, Yangjiajie Scenic Area as well as Ten-mile Gallery and Golden Whip Brook. Service of the environmentally friendly sightseeing shuttle buses is also included. However, services of the Ten Mile Gallery rideable mini train are not included in the entrance ticket.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park opens from 07:00 and its entrance gates close at 17:00 Monday to Sunday. Tickets can be reserved maximum 30 days in advance. To reserve tickets, we would require you to submit the following information:
