Private tour guide and driver pick you up from the hotel in the early morning and we are then making way for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Wulingyuan District. As a member of UNESCO global geopark network sites with an area of 4,810 hectares, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park consists of four scenic areas which normally takes 2-3 days to visit. This time, we do the one day tour by visiting only the core spots in Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve and Yangjiajie Nature Reserve.

☝ The East Entrance of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, has the full name of Wulingyuan Suoxi Valley Wujiayu Landmark Gate Ticket Station.

Upon arrival, we enter the park from the east entrance which has the full name of Wulingyuan Landmark Gate Ticket Station. From there, we can catch the sightseeing shuttle bus to head for the lower station of Bailong Sky Elevator and then take the lift to go uphill to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. Known as world's highest outdoor lift, Bailong Sky Elevator is built half into the mountain and half onto the side of the large steep cliff. With the height of 326 meters, the glass Bailong Elevator can take people from the base to the summit of the mountain in 66 seconds. While in the glass lift, please stand as front as possible so that you have chance to see the rapidly changing beautiful scenery that blows countless tourists' mind.

➀ First Stop: Yuanjiajie

Stepping out from Bailong Elevator, we walk several minutes to take the sightseeing shuttle bus to the parking lot of Back Garden and then formally start the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area tour. As the Avatar filming location in Zhangjiajie, Yuanjiajie has a big name in the world and it is the busiest scenic area of the park with top scenic spots including the Back Garden, the first Natural Bridge under Heaven, the Enchanting Stage and the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain that we will visit one by one. The tour to Yuanjiajie can take 2 to 3 hours.

➁ Second Stop: Yangjiajie

We then take the sightseeing shuttle bus to go to Yangjiajie Nature Reserve. Yangjiajie is quite large and it takes one whole day to visit it all. This time, our main purpose is to see its Natural Great Wall located close to Cable Car Station as well as Wulong Village, a place where the bandits used to live. Formed by the slim mountain peaks, the Natural Great Wall has amazed the world with its magnificent views. The tour to Yuanjiajie again takes about 2 hours.

➂ Third Stop: Tianzi Mountain

The sightseeing shuttle bus is taking us to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve which is well Known as "an expanded bonsai" and "an abbreviated fairyland". The tour guide takes you to travel around He Long Park and Tianzi Pavilion, the two main attractions with high altitude that provide grand view to oversee the whole mountain area. Best time to spend on Tianzi Mountain is 2 hours.

After visiting Tianzi Mountain, we return to the upper station of Bailong Elevator by sightseeing bus and go downhill through the lift. At the mountain base, we re-take the sightseeing shuttle bus to go to the east entrance and leave the park from there.

⏰ Seasonal Rates

Seasonality factor has great effect to most tourist destinations in the world. Zhangjiajie is not an exception in this regard.
In peak season, demand for hotels, tourist vehicles, labor forces, entrance tickets and so on increases day by day, and therefore price is high. In off season, when tourist crowds fade away and the scenic areas turn less busy, price goes down.
Since tour package price is subject to change over season, a flat price of all time would be unfair as guests come to Zhangjiajie at different times. Therefore, we give 3 different tour rates by including low season, shoulder season and high season throughout the year so that people interested in Zhangjiajie travel can find out their matching tour cost easily and quickly.
