As one of the national level AAAA tourist attractions, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area is located in Sanguansi Tujia Autonomous Town, Cili County. The Glass Bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area is a must see spot to many tourists, as it is the longest glass bridge with the highest altitude in the world.
☝ Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon
Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area locates 15 kilometers northeast of Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area. To go there, group tourists can take coaches, minibuses, and limousines organized by your travel agencies directly from the hotel. However, backpackers will have to go from the following locations to be able to take scheduled bus to go to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area.
☝ A River of Green Water in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon
Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area is 30 kilometers north of Wulingyuan Bus Station. Everyday, there are shuttle buses running from Wulingyuan Bus Station to the entrance of the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. It has bus at every hour from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Riding time is 35 minutes and ticket fare is CNY 20 Yuan per person.
☝ Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon
Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station is located in Guanliping, Yongding District, 65 km from the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. Here tourists can take the bus for Jiangya Hot Spring and get off at the Grand Canyon halfway, and then transfer to the eco-friendly sightseeing shuttle bus to the ticket office of the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. The entire journey takes about 2 hours and ticket fare is CNY 30 Yuan per person. Tourists can either take the bus to Wulingyuan Bus Station from Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station firstly, and then transfer to the bus for the Grand Canyon Scenic Area there. It takes about 40 minutes from Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station to Wulingyuan Bus Station, and ticket fare is CNY 20 Yuan per person.
Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon locates 62 kilometers northwest to Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport. Public transportation is not available between the two places. From the airport, tourists can take taxi to go there, otherwise, they can take a bus from the airport to Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station firstly , and then manage to go from Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station to the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. To travel directly from the airport to the Grand Canyon by taxi, it takes about 100 minutes and cost can be negotiated with the driver.
☝ Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon to Look Through the Glass Bridge
Zhangjiajie Railway Station is close to Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station. Visitors can walk from Zhangjiajie Railway Station to Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station firstly and then take bus there for Jiangya Hot Spring and alight at the Grand Canyon on the midway.
Zhangjiajie West Railway Station, also known as Zhangjiajie High Speed Railway Station, has no direct bus for the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. Driving distance between the two places is about 53 kilometers and one way journey takes about 80 minutes by taxi and cost can be negotiated with the driver on a case by case scenario.
☝ Zip Lining Over Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon
Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain Forest Park does not offer direct bus to the Grand Canyon. The driving distance between the two places is about 63 kilometers. It takes about 100 minutes to travel for one way journey by taxi and cost can be negotiated between the traveler and the driver.
The driving distance from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park to the Grand Canyon is about 45 kilometers. It takes about 1 hour to travel by taxi and cost can be negotiated between the traveler and the driver.

➋ Full price of ticket to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge + Fun Activities is CNY 248 Yuan per pax. Discount ticket price is 186 Yuan for children and the elderly. Fun activities include sightseeing lift, Treasure Hunting Lift, Aixiangfei Virtual Reality Travel Experience, Zipline Adventures, Wuwangpo Slideway, Yixiantian Slideway, Rainbow Lake Cruising and etc. A vistior is allowed to join no more than five fun activities.
➌ Full price of ticket to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge + Fun Activities + Via Ferrata + Rock Climbing is CNY 350 Yuan per pax. Fun activities include sightseeing lift, Treasure Hunting Lift, Virtual Reality Travel Experience, Zipline Adventures, Slideway, Lake Cruising and etc. A vistior is allowed to join no more than five fun activities.
➍ Price Breakdown for the 8 Fun Activities. Packaging cost for the fun activities is CNY 120 Yuan and a visitor is allowed to join 5 out of 8 activities. It also allows you to purchase tickets for such activities seperately so that you can join the one you are mostly interested in. Here is a break down cost for these 8 activities. ➀ Anyone with heart disease, high blood pressure, fear of height, drunkenness or other type of physical discomforts should not go to the glass bridge as it could be a little bit scary; elderly and children are not recommended to visit the glass bridge neither. ➁ As the safety guides of the scenic spot outlines, no items should be brought to the glass bridge except for mobile phones and wallets. Meanwhile, visitors are not allowed to chase around on the glass corridor as it is dangerous to do so. Please also keep in mind that visitors should not throw stuff down from the bridge, or lean on the railing of the bridge while there just for safety reason. ➂ It has luggage storage place at the scenic area. Price ranges from CNY 5 Yuan to CNY 10 Yuan per luggage. ➃ When it comes to extreme weather condition, the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge will be closed for maintenance. Tickets purchased previously will be fully refunded at the original price, however, no cancellation reimbursement will be given.
